Photo by wildlife photography expert and #CanonExplorerOfLight @ricksammonphotography using the new RF 800mm f11 IS STM “Wildlife does not always pose or display in bright light. On overcast days and when photographing in the shade, don’t be shy about boosting the ISO. This shot was taken at ISO 16000 (sixteen thousand). Thanks to the way the Canon EOS R6 handles noise, and the sharpness of the Canon RF800mm F11 IS STM lens, it’s still a sharp shot. Of course, technical advice is good, but here’s a non-tech and very important tip: respecting wildlife should be first and foremost in the mind of a wildlife photographer. In other words, you do not want to stress the animal. Ever. That’s where a long lens, like a 800mm, comes in.”
