We got Latto and Dino intentionally to help with the PTSD. My life before them was somewhat erratic and self-destructive. My weight was out of control; my relationships with family and friends were poor. I was filled with blind anger, bouts of depression, and loneliness. Every day 22 U.S. military veterans commit suicide. That's one veteran every 65 minutes. Having someone to live for is so important, and dogs love you unconditionally. They provide loyalty, emotional support, companionship, and are comforting after nightmares or flashbacks. They live in the present. They ‘poop and let it go’ – I've learned to do the same. They are my kids. My wife wanted to feed them better. She was like, ‘I need these guys to last forever so my husband can stay straight.’ We wanted to start a food truck just for dogs with real food. We started making it for Latto & Dino and their gas went away and they were more energetic (my gas stayed the same). Latto & Dino decide the menu – all healthy, whole food ingredients with super food aspects. They are what they eat, and what we think, we become.
