Photo by Matt Borowick @mborowick I remember first becoming familiar with the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in 2010, when it last erupted, causing mass travel problems all over the world. But the images from world news organizations had not done this incredible volcano justice. Seeing it in person for the first time was a breathtaking experience. Though the ice cap that covers the caldera is actually on the smaller side of glaciers in Iceland, it is still wild to see.
