Photo by Keith Ladzinski @Keith Ladzinski / With a carved depth of over 2,700ft, the black canyon of the gunnison is a dizzying geological wonder to stare into. The shear walls are a prime place for rock climbing, but a very committing place. You access the walls from the upper rims so once you drop in, there’s only one way out and that’s up. Professional climber @jon_cardwell seen here on lead on the shear cliffs. To see more photos from this assignment please visit @Keith Ladzinski
