I’m proud of myself and impressed i was able to come out the other end in one piece. That was my 28th birthday - my golden year. The tattoo on my head says “Abandon Hope” - Pema said to write It down on a sticky note and put It on your refrigerator. I felt like I needed It closer apparently. Abandon hope to let go of expectation. Not to let go of the idea of holding on for better , for good, but to let go. “If we’re willing to give up hope that insecurity and pain can be exterminated, then we can have the courage to relax with the groundlessness of our situation. “ I was an extremist . I might still be. But at least my mental chatter is a bit more healthy. Learned to collect the tools through deep work and many downs until they became ups.
