So thank you very much indeed.”  The Duchess of Cornwall today thanked staff at @bootsuk, who have continued to support patients and customers with essential pharmacy services throughout lockdown.  Boots set up and ran the first drive-through COVID-19 testing station for NHS workers in just 5 days. Today, hundreds of Boots colleagues continue to perform swab tests on those with suspected COVID-19 symptoms.  Partnered with @hestia_charity, Boots also offers victims of domestic abuse access to specialist support and advice inside the safe space of a consultation room. The scheme responds to the desperate situation facing many victims who have been isolating with perpetrators during lockdown. In the first week of Boots’ safe spaces being available, it is estimated over 100 people accessed them.   During the visit, Her Royal Highness heard that Boots have delivered 3,993 wash bags, as part of the Wash Bag Project, to Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) in the last month.
