The film, Ashes to Ashes, was produced by Shirley (who is also a character), directed by @taylorfreesolo and shot by @renan_ozturk. Shirley was a neighbor of Taylor’s growing up, and in 2015 she asked for help documenting her ceremony to honor the thousands of men, women and children lynched in the Jim Crow era. For the last few years Taylor, Renan & team have worked with Shirley and Winfred to help share their message in this film.
