As he is nearly 17 years old, we did an "old cat blood test" aka a 15 parameters biochimy to check his health and if everything was ok for him to go under surgery. Turns out everything is not well at all!😥 He has lost 1 kilo since last visit. And i don't understand all the "T4" and "SG" stuff but he is suffering from "hyperthyroïdie" and has a beginning of kidney disease.🙀 So he is starting a 10 days treatment with "Apelka 5mg" twice a day. Does anyone has already experienced that medicine? The vet said it is very efficient but might have some side effects like big throw up or being very tired so he will have an other blood test in 10 days to see if the treatment is working. If it does, it will be under control and we'll be able to take care of his teeth. If not we'll find an other way but it will be very good if it can work right away because i'm a bit scared... So please friends, if you have a few seconds think about him and send him some good "medicine do your thing" vibes, we need them and some love more than ever.
