Photo by Matt Borowick @mborowick While driving down Route 1 in Iceland you pass many impressive mountains, but Lómagnúpur might take the cake when it comes to over-the-top scenes. As you head south you can see it from many miles away, but when you finally reach the last few thousand feet, that’s where it really comes to life. Standing just over 2,500 feet (762 meters) high, Lómagnúpur is a marvel.
