In my earlier days I faced a lot of environmental stressors. I comitted myself to manage well both sports and education. I put self-imposed pressure on me to accomplish nothing less than extraordinary feats. This resulted in elevated stress and limited my sleep. Later on, I realized that this path jeopardizes my well-being. It was too late! Destiny forced me to take time off: I badly injured my left shoulder and had to undergo a surgery back in 2008 - a career-threatening fact. Sport was central to my life as a competitor and all of a sudden „Game over“. I wasn’t able to cope with this situation and got help from people close to me. Then, I reset my mind, gave up this cape of stardom-thinking. I accepted that I am not a superwoman and it is an inherent fact that I can’t always do outstanding performances. My new me nowadays allows to take time off when needing rest and I procrastinate projects in the backburner. I have experienced that I work best when I feel optimistic and full of energy. I trust myself and end up better when I put my projects off. Tell me your experience on here.
