I've always wondered how photographers get different types of really tight light. And in many cases I couldn't figure it out. Then I had the idea to start exploring projection. There are all kinds of ways to do it but I have found that it's best to go as bright as you can. You want as many lumens as possible. So I finally started working with Canon projectors and they are insane. I'm currently using the REALiS WX450ST projector in my studio to do all of my projection. I often use two of them, one on the background and one on the subject directly. I love all the crazy results I can get out of it. I'll either find, download, or create custom patterns and shapes in Photoshop. I made this pattern in Photoshop and thought I would give it a shot and I'm very pleased with the results.
