Photo by @estherhorvath Matthew Shupe, research scientist at the University of Colorado and NOAA, works on the final setting before raising a tower for atmospheric measurements in the central Arctic Ocean during the MOSAiC expedition. Nowhere else on our planet are the effects of climate change as massive or as clearly visible as in the Arctic. Understanding these effects is the driving goal behind the measurements taken during the year-long expedition. Please follow @estherhorvath for more polar science stories and @mosaic_expedition for daily updates.
