The project is a collaboration between Medical Detection Dogs, @LSHTM and @durhamuniversity. 🐶 During the visit, The Duchess watched Labradors Marley and Bea sniff out COVID-19 samples, alongside their trainers. If passive screening proves successful, dogs could be deployed to airports in the UK within six months to assist with rapid screening of people, even if asymptomatic, travelling from abroad - potentially up to 250 people per hour.
