To create his “glimpse of an idyllic tale unfolding,” photographer Leslie Zhang borrowed the backdrop for Ming artist Zho Shoufu’s “The Flying Waterfall of Xi Mountains.” “It has been a process of deconstructing our traditions and rebuilding into a new visual language for this moment,” says Zhang of his work.
