I used to always think, "I can't be codependent because I'm so independent", and I WAS independent. I still am. But it took me years of making the same mistakes and wondering what was wrong with me before I started to look into my own patterns and behaviours. I feel like so many codependent traits are so 'normal' we don't even realise them... Especially a women's need to 'fix' someone. Anyway, I'd LOVE to know your thoughts on this and whether you relate.
