I’ve learnt that we’re not as in control of our lives as we may like to believe, and our mental wellbeing dictates how we deal with that. I feel stronger and happier despite the circumstances, and I can directly accredit that to these practices. I just wish I’d started sooner! Here are a few things I’d recommend to begin your self-love journey; journal - this will help you discover who you are and what you want, practice yoga regularly, breathing exercises - the healing powers of breath work are fascinating and can create inner peace, make time for the ‘little things’ in life, do more of what makes you happy, feel gratitude for all you have in life, tell yourself daily you are worthy, you are strong, you are enough.
