Colombia has beautiful plains, called ‘los llanos”’, a place where the cowboy lifestyle is just everyday life. Growing up, my father loved horse racing and I became interested in these amazing animals. I love riding and knowing about how different each breed can be from the other. For this shoot, we got up at 4 in the morning and then worked until the end of day. Usually, when you start very early, you don’t work into the evening or you shoot morning and evening, but not during the day. But I wanted to capture it all. Photography is amazing as you always want to document what you see. At times, it was so dark I could hardly see, but the colors came out like this. Magical. _ VAQUEROS. Llamados "cowboys" en inglés, en español crecí conociéndolos como "vaqueros". En la hermosa región colombiana de los llanos, el estilo de vida del vaquero es el cotidiano. A mi padre le encantaban las carreras de caballos e hizo que me interesara por estos animales increíbles. Me encanta montar y saber lo diferente que puede ser cada raza de la otra. Para esta sesión, nos levantamos a las 4 de la mañana y luego trabajamos hasta el final del día. Por lo general, cuando comienzas muy temprano, no trabajas hasta la noche o haces fotos por la mañana y por la noche, pero no durante el día. Pero fuimos de corrido porque quería capturarlo todo. La fotografía es increíble y uno siempre quiere documentar lo que ve. En algunos momentos casi no podía ver lo que hacía a causa de la oscuridad pero los colores salían así.
