As I sat and watched, I realised how much I’ve changed. Facing Fear was a piece put together in 2018. It’s so interesting listening to my mindset and my perspective back then. I can hear how young I was, how scared I still was, but how hungry I was to do better and win and how driven I was by results. Fast forward a couple of years and I was back out at Jaws in the Women’s final, ending up placing second by 1.49 and very proud of my performance and the waves that I caught that day. Today I’m sitting here still very proud of that performance although uncertainty creeps in... With current circumstances I don’t know if I’ll get an opportunity to compete in the Big Wave Challenge or wether or not it will even run... But I also sit here with a different perspective now realising that my happiness isn’t bound by a result in a contest but by my intrinsic nature to be better and moments in the ocean that provide me with an intimate connection with nature to remind me of what I belong to, what I am made of and what I am a part of ✨🏄🏼‍♀️ @wsl @wslbigwave」10月26日 7時49分
