They took me to all the places locals go at night to eat and hang out, and explained how since everyone works so much during the day, nightlife is an important part of their culture! . Well, in my head, I thought nightlife would include quirky cafes and nightclubs, so when that wasn't on the tourism board's itinerary, I reached out to some Tokyo creators and they helped me amp it up a bit 😜 . Halloween was a relatively new concept in Tokyo still and they LOVE it, as much as us Americans do, maybe even more since they wear their costumes starting a few days before and even during the day! . They also dress up in groups rather than everyone having a different costume, so me and fellow creators Haruna and Kai dressed up as Pikachu 😂 . We then went to a Monster Cafe that felt like we were in a cartoon, and later we danced in the DJ booth of a popular nightclub, while Haruna's friend DJ-ed dressed like Merlin, complete with liquid nitrogen smoke 🧙‍♂️ (that I attempted to spray and failed miserably). . Like I said, hands down the best Halloween ever!! .
