Unheated bicolor sapphire ring
非加熱サファイアを用いてお作りしたサファイアリング。スリランカの親子が営む宝石商から仕入れました。加工も彼ら自身が手掛けています。
光の入り方により、濃く深いブルーにも、グラデーションがかったバイカラーにも見える、大変表情豊かなサファイアです。
サファイアは天空の宝石として、空色のあらゆる象徴体系を保持するともいわれていました。
すべての季節の空を包括するようなこのサファイアの色合いを目立たせるように、シンプルなリングに仕立てました。

This ring is made with an unheated sapphire from Sri Lanka. The gemstone was supplied by a jeweler operated by a Sri Lankan family, and they have their own cutting factory.
Depending on how the light hits the sapphire, its hue can be seen as either a rich, deep blue or a bicolor with gradation.
Sapphire has been regarded as a gemstone of the firmament, and as a stone that has the system of symbols related to sky blue color.
We made this sapphire into a simple ring so that enhance its tone like encompassing the skies of all seasons.
