Was also super excited to get better photos than the ones I took on my solo trip here four years ago, even though I used the same technique still for most of them (selfie stick tripod! But this was with bf-tripod). . Out of all of the New 7 World Wonders that I've been to, Chichén Itzá is by far the easiest to do!!! But don't let it's easy access let you think it's not as significant as others like I once did! . Chichén Itzá was not only one of the most important Mayan cities in Central America, but proved how smart AF the Mayans were! . For example, paved roads were found here, which would have pre-dated the first ones in Europe! . This main temple was also built as a calendar! It has 365 steps, and during the spring and fall equinox, the sun casts a shadow shaped like a serpent, that meets up with the actual stone serpents on the temple! . I have a ton more pics so I'll save some of the fun facts for the next post 😂 . OH! And like the majority of my photos with no people in them, this was not edited!
