As if this isn’t impressive enough, let’s take a look at some of her accomplishments, shall we? Served at sea on six ships as a nuclear-trained Surface Warfare Officer ✔️ Commanded a combat-ready unit of 400 sailors ✔️ One of the first women in the Navy’s nuclear power program ✔️ Among the first women to serve the entirety of her career in combatant ships ✔️ I mean… come on!! 🤯 If you’ll let me brag a little more, Elaine also served the longest on active duty out of all members in the House Democratic Caucus, having completed 20 years of active military service with the U.S. Navy.
