Photos by @MartinEdstrom / Swipe to look around inside the largest cave in the world, Son Doong in Vietnam. Standing on top of this spiral stalagmite, you're surrounded by green plants even though you are several hundred feet below the ground. This is because of a collapsed opening in the ceiling of the cave, a sinkhole, that lets sunlight come in and make it possible for plants to grow. Swipe to the last image to see the hole in the ceiling.
This 360-degree image is part of a larger interactive story about Son Doong you can find on natgeo.com, where you can explore the cave as if you were there. Follow @MartinEdstrom for more interactive stories from all over the planet. #vietnam #sondoong360 #360 #virtualreality #interactive
