Last year I was lucky enough to be immortalised by my favourite artist @connorbrothersofficial. Probably the coolest thing to happen to me for a while! 🎨 Obviously I was single at the time, but my mantra stays the same: it's better to be on your own, than with the wrong person. I actually feel really empowered in my current relationship with the knowledge that I'll always be ok on my own. It's one of the things that helped me attract a healthy and independent one: I don't NEED anyone, I just want this one. It's easy when we're on our own and going through a low patch to think that everyone else is in a relationship and therefore living some kind of 'couple goals' existence, but the truth is that's not the case. We all know couples who probably shouldn't be together and don't bring out the best in each other. So try not to think that being alone and lonely are the same thing. Of course it's normal to feel lonely sometimes, especially during lockdown, but remember: there'll be lots of lonely couples too.
