This year's Rockefeller Plaza Christmas tree seems a little... off. The 75-foot Norwegian spruce—which arrived in midtown on Saturday—appears bald, anemic, and haggard, which in turn makes it a perfect representation of 2020. On Wednesday afternoon, a small owl was found inside the tree and swiftly taken to a wildlife rehabilitation center. How this complicates the metaphor of the tree—or if it makes the owl some kind of avian Punxsutawney Phil—has yet to be determined. Read more at the link in bio.
