One of the real treats of traveling like this was finding public lands I would never see otherwise. Each place offered different surprises, particularly this one. After a day of wandering through the high desert areas of Utah, we ended up camping for the night near Green River. The Mars-like landscape, complete with a radio tower on the cliffs above, made for a special place to pull over for the evening and set up camp before heading farther south.
