The final days of The Cross Cevennes trip we finished a while ago. The aim of the trip was simple- rekindle with the paths of my childhood to understand more about where I grew up.

Initially I was set on following the well marked Stevenson Trail but as I walked I realize that I didn’t specifically care about that trail. What mattered most was reconnecting with the homeland.

So midway through we switched the itinerary to take us back directly home, on foot.

What seems like a simple decision became so liberating because I was now blazing new trail and felt untied completely from any pre-established routes.

That’s when the trip took a second start. These images are from that “reroute”.
