Your mind is lifted, and your body is carried by the waves of people beaming, chanting and uniting. Triumphant scenes and a carnival-like atmosphere erupted in Piccadlly Circus following France’s world cup victory in 2018. The Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain became this statuesque human mountain, with dozens of Mariannes brandishing the French flag, enveloped in blue, white and red smoke. On top of it, Eros himself was no longer inanimate but working with the flow. His wings seemed to be lifting the masses towards the blue skies.’ Find more info at the link in bio.
