What makes "The Great Wave" so great? 🤔
We typically associate this print with one maker—Katsushika Hokusai—but it took a team of carvers and printers to create this icon.
Unknown master printers cleverly layered two pigments—a novel Prussian blue and a traditional, duller indigo—to create the vibrant tones that bring this dynamic composition to life. 🌊🌊🌊
