February 2020 also brought me to the farthest end of Indonesia. West Papua, specifically a town called Nabire where @bn.baktinusantara (an organisation I’m very proud to be a part of) started our labour of love for education through supporting a public school with a boarding home as the struggle for the children of this specific area to attend school is the distance from where they live to the institution. We also had the kind help of Bosch to help train a vocational skill of using their tools to learn wood carving and for the children.
As I spend my introvert New Years in my bed, I am reminiscing the moments where time stood still in 2020. Where I could feel pure joy and alignment in my heart. Going with my two siblings was an adventure in itself. I loved how they embraced what truly mattered to me and volunteered too. We also managed to discover some islands and visit the whale shark conservation area. Pure bliss...
