Photo by @gabrielegalimbertiphoto / I took this photograph at the end of April. The whole of Italy was under a general lockdown. I had to go to Venice for work and I found myself in front of this unusual sight: San Marco square completely empty. It was at the same time an experience full of sadness and beauty. These days, Venice is fighting against the frequent problem of high water and this square is submerged. I share this image with the hope that soon the squares of Italy and all over the world can start to be populated again by locals and tourists. #venice #venezia #italy #lockdown
