Architect Michael K. Chen (@mkcarchitecture) was tapped to design a family's Manhattan apartment located in the Carnegie Hill neighborhood. Chen and his team added depth through materials, taking the clients to stone yards and fabrication shops to choose and approve woods, marbles, metals, and wallcoverings with patina and figuration. The kitchen’s custom cabinetry is by @henrybuilt, and the backsplash and counters are in Cristallo quartzite from @abcstone, and the island is Cristallo with inlaid Ice Grey marble surfaces and legs. The range is by @gaggenauofficial, the barstools are by @kgblnyc, and the pendant is by @johnthogan for @rollandhill. The bowl is by @mquanstudio.
