As visitors peer into the reflection, they are immersed in the sky from above and below, teetering between a sense that the sculpture has dropped from above and a sense that it is emerging from the earth." —Sarah Sze Sarah Sze has been commissioned by Storm King Art Center in New Windsor, New York, to create "Fallen Sky," a site-specific work comprised of a deliberately incomplete and increasingly delicate spherical cavity 36 feet in diameter, sheathed in mirrored stainless steel. This is the first new permanent work to enter the museum's collection since 2008. "Fallen Sky" is due to be installed later this year, along with a solo exhibition of the same name.
