Wallpaperさんのインスタグラム写真 - (WallpaperInstagram)「The winner of Best Hideaway in our Wallpaper* Design Awards 2021 is this unique Japanese restaurant in Mexico, Kakurega Omakase (@kakurega_omakase). ⁠ ⁠ And a worthy winner it is: not only is it called ‘hidden’ (‘kakurega’ in Japanese), but it is also located in one of the most unlikely and secluded spots we’ve come across for an omakase restaurant – a patch of jungle on Mexico’s Pacific coast. Artist Bosco Sodi (@studioboscosodi) and his cousin, engineer Luis Urrutia (@luisurrutia) thought the plot was just perfect: ‘This restaurant is in the middle of nowhere. The space is open to the senses – you can feel the wind, see the sunset, hear the crickets, and take in the scent of nature alongside the food,’ enthuses Sodi.⁠ ⁠ Ah, the food... Courtesy of Kyoto-born chef Keisuke Harada, the menu is all-Japanese, but the ingredients are all local.
