This is SICK! “Sweet Soul Medley” w/Cyndi Lauper & Ben E King, which should be enough, but when you see who the rest of the band is, it’s too amazing. Here’s a hint: Duane Eddy, Joe Walsh, Robert Cray, Warren Zevon, Carole King, Billy Joel, Clarence Clemmons, David Sanborn, Tom Scott, Freddie Hubbard, Jon Faddis, Roberta Flack and Ashford & Simpson on backing vocals. This was put together by Paul Shaffer for a Letterman Anniversary show from Radio City Music Hall. I remember this one well, especially the use of the massive house organ system with multiple keyboards that Paul & Carole can be seen playing on the intro to “Chest Fever” by The Band.
