I was blown away by the shapes and colours. Now I'm an art teacher and run programmes around mental health education and wellbeing through art. I have no doubt that it was my exposure to Bridget Riley's paintings and our visits to Tate that inspired my career path, and the encouragement of my mum that helped me to achieve my ambitions. Although times are hard, I feel so grateful to have my mum, for art, for my job which I love, for Tate and for Bridget Riley.'  In 'Late Morning' Riley was particularly interested in the effects of the warm and cold tones on white.
