Here’s a few that stood out to me. 1. It’s the city’s oldest continuously running off Broadway theater. 2. Has 179 seats at the main stage and a 60 seat studio. 3. Opened in 1923. 4. First reviewed show was Saturday Night by Richard Fresnell in 1924. 5. Has been known to be the home of non traditional and experimental works. 6. Occasionally the theatre hosted musical performances for Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger before they were famous. 7. Plays performed here from writers such as, Eugene O’Neill, Gertrude Stein, Pablo Picasso, and David Mamet just to name a few. 8 In 2006 the theatre was awarded with the Village Award from @gvshp_nyc 🏆✨ There’s so much talent that have played as well as written plays performed here!
