I went from a fierce, adventurous solo traveler, to a 24/7 couple with less adventures and more dinners. I went from feeling so proud to have succeeded at my dreams, to feeling like I was getting in the way of someone else’s, and held back my own pride a lot, making me forget all that I’ve done. This photo reminds me of the woman I used to be, and the one I can’t wait to be again now that I’ll be going back solo! So for my own sake, for anyone who forgot, or anyone new, allow me to reintroduce myself! I’m Alyssa Ramos, a Cuban American girl from FL who hated societal norms so accidentally moved to LA. I have a degree in biology but self taught myself marketing and blogging by working dozens of freelance content writing gigs and as a celebrity publicist’s assistant! 9 years ago I decided to start my own blog called My Life’s a Movie, and it was mostly about life in Hollywood. A year later it got redundant and I randomly decided to go travel solo for a month where I fell in love with it. I was one of the few known travel bloggers at that time, and one of the very first “solo female travel influencers”. I went viral for writing an article about the stigmas and stereotypes of women traveling alone called “Yes, I’m Pretty and I’m Traveling Alone” and it’s what really got my foot in the door. 4 years ago I made the leap into nomad life, and have now been to 107 countries and all 7 continents. Blogging and being an “influencer” is my full time job, and I was making 6 figures from it pre 2020, but am estimated to make it again this year 🤞I also host Badass group trips and recently started my own shop and sustainable swimwear line (from lockdown) links in bio 😎 I’ve been featured in Forbes (2x), Entrepreneur, Cosmo, Travel &Leisure, multiple news stations, and I speak at travel conferences! I’ve been told I’m very honest, and my greatest pride is when someone says they traveled somewhere because of me!
