“I remember feeling a lot like 22 when I graduated from college. I thought things would just click and my purpose would be revealed the second I received my degree. Instead, I was terrified of entering the real world and didn't really know what to do next. Fortunately, I had amazing mentors that offered their support and guidance, which ultimately led me to pursue graduate school. My interests and career goals have changed throughout the years, but I've learned to be content with the unknown and enjoy the journey. My advice to people who want to work at Pixar one day is even if you've applied for a job at Pixar 100 times, continue to apply! Also, be open, authentic, and teachable.
I celebrate Black History all year long, but #BlackHistoryMonth is still very important to me. It's a time where we highlight Black culture and celebrate significant achievements from Black men and women that are often ignored or go unnoticed. It is an opportunity for everyone to learn more about our contributions throughout society and a chance to inspire and educate our youth.” - Kayla D. Harriel, Coordinator (Inclusion & Outreach)
