Photo by Keith Ladzinski @Keith Ladzinski / A dominant cheetah issues an authoritative bite that simply says, “You can eat...because I’m allowing it.” Cheetahs, generally speaking, are solitary hunters that have to hunt, kill, and eat fast—before predators like leopards, hyenas, lions, etc., move in to steal their meal. This photo is of an extremely rare coalition of five male cheetahs from the Maasai Mara known as "the fast five." This unique group has proven to be a highly successful hunting force, taking down animals much larger than cheetahs normally do, like this zebra.
