Mars rover Perseverance is scheduled to land on Mars today at 3:55 p.m. EST. I photographed the rover on July 22, 2019 in the High Bay clean room at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California for the current issue of @ナショナルジオグラフィック. It’s a mystical experience being feet away from something that is now going to live on Mars.
