To do list and TV remote slightly out of reach, bottle of water near, and milk stains on my bra. But endless cuddles with the main man. 💞 Had a bit of a weird day! The rash on my boobs is getting really bad, so I rang the doctors first things this morning and I was told I'd get a call back for a virtual appointment (covid times). 9 hours later (and several calls from me checking someone was going to call) I got a call from a male Dr. I described what was happening and then he said "well your guess is as good as mine". He then said he could prescribe some antihistamines in case it's an allergy. I said "ok, great, are they breastfeeding friendly?" To which he said: "oh yeah, let me look. Hmm, the box says not suitable for breastfeeding, but everything says that don't worry, it should be fine". Now I'm a bit 🤯 do I take the pills? I don't know if it's just because of covid, but does anyone else feel like new mums seem to be a bit overlooked? Yesterday on stories I chatted about postnatal care and how I went for a postnatal health check at @the_mummy_mot. But I was shocked to discover how awful the 6 week check is for mums on the NHS. To not even get stitches checked, or ab gaps monitored. Surely more has to be done to support us and give us the tools to get back to health after going through childbirth. I spoke to so many of you suffering unnecessarily because you don't know what's normal. Surely something has to be done? Shoutout to all the other new mums as we try to navigate the changes in our minds and bodies with what feels like very little support. WE GOT THIS. 💞🤱🏼」2月25日 6時15分 - ashleylouisejames
