In many ways it seems fitting that the Golden was my final pattern dance. As a young skater I had the amazing opportunity to work with Natalia Dubova, one of the creators of the Golden. Although I was dead set on being a freestyle skater, under Natalia’s guidance I gained a massive appreciation for dance, something that stuck with me throughout my career. Natalia always told me that one day if I was a good enough skater, I could learn her dance - well that day finally arrived.
