From the Roman Road to Rome.

As part of this journey I was able to go back and visit the neighbourhood and pitches that ultimately shaped me as a person and as a footballer.

It’s crazy to think that two young lads from round here in me and Ledley went from kicking a ball round in the cage with our mates, to playing across the globe and even representing our country together at a World Cup 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I will forever be grateful to those who helped me at grassroots level and applaud the thousands of men and women, like the ones we have met so far, who still give everything to the game.

Without grassroots football there is no football ⚽️
