Trigger warning ! GRAPHIC ! One of the questions us women get after surviving Domestic Violence is “what did you do to upset him?” I am always dumbfounded each and every time I hear/read such a thing. There is NO reason a man should be doing this to a woman.NONE! Survivors share many similar stories … as I watch this I am reminded of the barbaric times I was beaten on. I get upset at myself for staying so long… I cared more to show him how unconditional my love for him was that I neglected to love myself… Some ppl will even say, “it was in the past, why dont you just forget about it?” I wish it was that simple. See survivors live on with reminders. Even though I survived soooo many years ago … I , myself live w the reminder … I deal w the pain as a result of the injuries I survived … I still can see the scars I’ve covered with tattoos … the visuals such as this one buried deep in my mind makes its peek at random nights during my sleep & I have to face it. Therapy has been very helpful but it’s ridiculous to expect someone to just forget.

I pray for this woman , u pray for her child, I pray for the ppl who love her.
