I had to shelve everything I had planned and recovery became the only goal. ⁣ ⁣ It got really dark at times throughout this ongoing experience. Some days I struggled to even get out of bed, even though I could already walk. Heck, I’m back running and I still feel that sometimes, realising that in all likelihood a part of my body is permanently altered - I am a different athlete.⁣ ⁣ All that said, even if I often questioned the why, I didn’t find myself wishing it never happened - or I shut that out quickly - I was quickly accepting of the circumstance, and I pushed through. Honestly, that resilience surprised me. ⁣ ⁣ The most positive thing for me has been the people who’ve reached out to show their care and support. I can be quite the solitary hermit, thank you for accompanying me through this, it would’ve sucked a lot more without all of you. ⁣ ⁣ I guess I just wanted to say thank you for being with me, in your own ways, I am very grateful to have that in my life.」1月1日 12時54分
