Two years ago today, my beautiful sister, Shelley, passed away from Covid. She was only fifty-four. It might sound like hooey, but I know Shelley’s responsible for my becoming a screenwriter. After she passed, I felt her promptings so strongly, telling me to write. “Do what you love!” “Follow your bliss!” “Leap and see what happens.” I feel her all around me when I write. Shelley dreamed of becoming a screenwriter, but mental illness destroyed that dream. Thank you, Shelley, for pointing me in this soul-satisfying direction. I’ll keep sharing our stories. I love you.
