Mike Call talks about rock- vs plastic bouldering in Salt Lake’s legendary boulder gym Body Shop, 1992. The Body Shop, now called The Front Climbing Club, was one of the first commercial bouldering gyms. Since 1989, it has helped ignite and foster a close-knit climbing community throughout Utah. Those were humble garage-style beginnings, established by a few friends who wanted a space to enjoy climbing together. At the time, they had no way of knowing what they had started.
