Someone who, when not with friends or on set, spends his time drawing, practicing guitar, and finding ways to align himself with the same interests he had as a kid. For Daviss, this was reading comic books, watching anime and action-packed shows, or overall immersing himself in the art of storytelling. Now 23, Daviss wants to be the storyteller, aiming to move into the directing space for the next step of his creative practice. On the kinds of narratives he’d like to focus on, Daviss says, “I've definitely wanted to tell more elevated sci-fi stories, something interesting with characters that I don't think we normally get to see in these spaces. Especially as a young Black man, I want to tell stories about what I went through and what my friends went through.
