４月１７日（月）～２０日（木）、陸上幕僚監部は米海兵隊と第１３回幕僚協議（ＢＳＴ）を市ヶ谷駐屯地において実施しました。今回の幕僚協議は約３年ぶりの対面による実施であり、米海兵隊からは米海兵隊総司令部戦略・計画課長ドラン准将を代表とし、米大平洋海兵隊、第３海兵機動展開部隊及び在日米海兵隊司令部の幕僚が多数参加しました。
会議においては、双方の防衛力強化の方向性について認識を共有するとともに、相互運用性の向上に関し活発な意見交換を実施し、今後の陸自と米海兵隊との更なる連携強化を図りました。

From April 17 to 20, Ground Staff Office held the 13th JGSDF-USMC Bilateral Staff Talks (BST) at Camp Ichigaya, the very first face-to-face meeting for the past nearly three years. Brigadier General Doran, Director of Strategy & Plans Division, HQMC led his great many delegation members from MARFORPAC, ⅢMEF, and MARFORJ. � During BST, bilateral staff shared future defense capabilities, had active discussions to increase interoperability, and synchronized the way ahead of JGSDF and USMC defense cooperation.
Upon the completion of BST, JGSDF and USMC together made a commitment to further strengthen their cooperation.
